Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers for Life conceptualize "Pro-life" broadly as the respect life program of the Catholic Church, and thus are concerned about abortion, the handicapped, the disabled, the elderly and family life. Agencies where volunteers have given service are the following:
International Life Services (ILS)

They have done art work and layout for magazine, designed brochures, given chastity talks to high schools and youth groups, researched the abortion industry, done data entry, computer assistance to staff, accounting and bookkeeping, and general administration.
Pregnancy Service Centers
Volunteers are trained and give service at a number of pregnancy service centers in a variety of capacities, doing counseling of pregnant women, neighborhood organization, administration, newsletters, fund raising, post abortion counseling, community outreach, and giving chastity and abortion talks.
Some of the counseling centers where volunteers serve are: Los Angeles Pregnancy Services, (LAPS), started by a Volunteer for Life, it is located in a poor Hispanic neighborhood in the middle of seven abortion clinics which are all within walking distance. East Los Angeles Pregnancy Services was also started by Volunteers for Life and serves poor Mexican women. La Habra Life Center is a 30 year old, well established center with a long history of success.

Volunteers give service in this facility which cares for the frail elderly. Assisted suicide is never offered but only love and support. They act as prayer partners, facilitate exercise, stimulate conversation, and take part in activities to bring joy and happiness to the elderly.
